no words
only tears
the chilling quiet
pierces the lonely hearts
a day of silence
to honor those
who try to speak
but cant be heard
through the hate
a day of silence
to share the pain
experience the horror
the jeers and stares
of the ignorant
a day of silence
to speak for
those who cant
express themselves
withour fear
a day of silence
to stand up
for those who've fallen
and tell the world
how we feel
a day of silence
to set free
the oppressed
and let their voices
ring through the land
a day of silence
to move the world
open our eyes
and our hearts
to the pain around us
a day of silence
of freedom
of life and liberty
a day to let it be known
we will not give up
what can we do to end the silence
