i love this piece.
the lighting is fantastic, and the beads stand out, but they dont quite look as if they belong. They kinda look like they were placed there, perhaps because of the colors. im wondering if theres a way to make the beads stand out, yet still blend well.

I like this piece a lot. The beads, I think, do look a little off, as mentioned by ~ blindseer, but rather than seeming out of place, I think it makes them stand out and draw the eye to the pride message behind the image. I like it.

If you wanted to blend the beads in a little more, maybe they could be slightly blurred, or kinda smoothed out, like the rest of the image?

Either way, I like it the way it is at the moment and personally wouldn't change a thing. I suppose it helps when you can distract the eye with an attractive model!

wow! i mean... WOW! this is so simple yet so effective, i love it!

Brilliant picture!

Such double meaning I feel the pride and defiance of youth with the thrust chest and turned head the two characteristics also found in being gay. While I do like the neckless I don't think you need it to express the concept of this image. I think the image would speak more universaly to people if it wasn't there.

What is art? Well that is kind of like asking what is love, it can only truely be defined by example.
:iconkhronic:
beads? universal???
hmm. the focus may be what's throwing blindseer a little off. i think it works well though. and as far as universality goes, i think that point of view tends to distract from the message. i'm not the artist but i'll take the risk of being an ass and assume that you wanted to portray being proud of your sexuality. that's not the only thing i'm seeing here. i feel that you're beautiful and open and taking a lot of risk with this portrait, and these aspects strike chords with a lot of people who can be bi gay straight or indifferent. the beads aren't the only thing that matter, it's the person. just like when people use "gay" as just another label. they miss the person.
but you've managed to bring out both sides of that whole argument just by showing yourself. =)

and again you're beautiful. i wanna eat you :P

I like how you colorized the beads. There is such a simple beauty to it. You're pretty cute, too.

I really like this one, its smooth looking, the black and white is nice and soft; almost porcelin looking. :+fav:
