“You don’t lie much, do you?” Cameron whispered, waiting until he was sure Robin’s mom was gone before speaking normally. “I can tell.” He said with a playful snicker.
Robin looked over at him, “I’ve never needed to.” He answered.
“Lucky bitch,” he laughed, grinning and entwining his fingers behind his head. “I’m jealous.”
“Not necessarily.” He said, looking up at the ceiling, “And don’t be.”
“Why?” Cameron asked curiously, seriously wanting to know. “Give me a reason not to.”
“I’ve never had to lie because I usually don’t leave the house.” He said.
“How come?” Cameron always hated vague answers.
“I’ve never had any reason to.” He said, “I’ve never had any friends...and seeing other people with friends is just...”
He slid his back down the wall until he was sitting, his elbows resting on his knees, “Just what?”
“It makes you feel lonely.” He finished, “I know it sounds kind of stupid...”
“Nah, it’s alright. I get what you’re saying. But hey, if you wanna` quit feeling lonely, you gotta` get out there and talk to those people and their friends.” He nodded, giving the other a look of empathy.
“Easier said than done.” He sighed, closing his eyes, “It’s not like I haven’t tried.”
“Want me to help?” He asked, realizing – after he said it - that they still hardly knew each other.
“One at a time.” He replied, looking back at him again with a smile.
“One at a time works then.” He smiled at him from the corner of his mouth. “Me first?”
“My thoughts exactly.” He agreed.
“Good. I’d have to say, after all that,” he winked at Robin while he talked “I would hope we were at least friends. I was never a ‘one-time’ kinda guy.”
I want to be more than that... he thought. “Yeah...” he said with a small yawn.
“Hey, take a nap, you look tired. I’ll find my way out.” He said while stretching his arms above his head.
“Well...you seem tired, too...” he pointed out, “And you’d have to walk home, right?”
“Yeah, I am. Buy hey, I’ll manage.” Cameron smiled at Robin, pushing himself off the wall and standing up.
“You could just stay. My mom won’t care...” he said.
“It’s fine. The walk’s not too bad. `Sides, I know your mom doesn’t know me at all, I wouldn’t want to weird her out or anything.” He swiped his flip-flops up off the floor, dangling them off his fingers.
“Fine...” Ass... “I...don’t want you to go.” He said, turning over in defeat.
“Well, then I guess I could stay for a while.” He smirked at the other, putting his flip-flops back down. “It’s not like I have anywhere important to be.”
“You’re an ass.” He laughed, scooting up on the bed so he could lay on his pillow.
“I’m a sexy ass though, don’t even try and say you don’t think so.” He smirked, sitting in Robin’s computer chair, “Now, get to sleep.”
“I was kind of on the wrong side.” He said, raising an eyebrow at his.
“Hey, maybe next time.” He mumbled after shrugging his shoulders. Cameron spun around, opening the internet to check his e-mail.
“Don’t open the blue-icon-one...” he mumbled, “It’s slow.”
“Huh?” He looked at the screen. One blue icon; Internet explorer, “Oh, okay.” He opened the msn window instead.
“Yeah...” he sighed, letting himself fall asleep.
Cameron spent a few minutes replying to e-mails and deleting junk, but then signed off. Robin had been tossing since he went to sleep; how annoying. He walked across the room, kneeling beside the bed and running his fingers through the boy’s hair.
Robin smiled softly in his sleep.
Cameron’s head began to droop somewhat as he stroked Robin’s hair. It was only moments later that Cameron fell asleep, leaning on Robin’s bed.
“Oh, Ro—...” started his mother, stopping as she opened the door. She smiled sweetly and shut the door slowly, “I knew it...” she giggled.
About half an hour had passed when Cameron somewhat woke up. He was not completely awake and wasn’t thinking clearly. Hm...Bed. He climbed into the bed next to Robin and curled up.
* * 2 hours later * *
Robin woke up, but kept his eyes closed. It’s...warm...he thought, smiling to himself. Suddenly, he realized that Cameron was in bed lying behind him with his arm over him.
He immediately froze; he needed to get up...but he didn’t want to wake him up. Shit. He rolled over slowly and looked at him. He looked at his closed eyes and moved slowly downward. Just as his eyesight reached his shirt, he looked away. However, after a moment, he looked back at him. Damn you. He thought dully, scooting closer to him and falling back asleep.
Cameron felt a slight movement and opened his eyes partly, seeing Robin. “Hm..?” He was terribly confused for a moment, before remembering that afternoon. Ohh. Wow... He looked down at Robin, and saw his small form sleeping against him. He enveloped the younger boy in his arms, smiling to himself. “Hey, wake up.” He whispered into his ear sweetly.
“Shut up.” He said, half-joking. He looked up at him with a slight pout, “I didn’t wake you up.” He whined.
“Yeah you did.” He laughed quietly, nudging the other a little bit. “Come on, your clock says five o` clock, wake up, Robin.”
“No.” he said bluntly, “Five means my mom is gone ‘till one.” He replied lazily. He tucked his head between Cameron’s chin and his chest.
He smiled at his actions, but refused to relent. “No, don’t argue with me.” He gently poked and prodded Robin, trying to get him to wake up without annoying him to the point of anger.
Robin twitched slightly as Cameron poked his side, “Don’t!” he said.
“Why not?” He teased, poking him a few more times. “You’re not going to do anything about it.” Cameron smirked at the small form he was looking at.
Robin giggled and squirmed next to him, “Stop!” he urged.
“Why?!” He teased more, smiling and tickling Robin’s ribs.
Robin continued squirming and laughing next to him, “Stop already!” he pleaded, “I give, I give!”
Cameron continued for a moment or two, but then finally stopped. He sat up and pulled up the other to a sitting position. “Awake yet?” He asked with a wink.
“No..” he whined, leaning on his shoulder, “You’re mean.”
Cameron reached forward and leaned over the other, tickling his ribs again. “No? I’m mean? That’s not very polite, Robin,” he taunted as his fingers danced over his ribs.
“No, no, no!” he giggled loudly, trying to grab Cameron’s hands.
Cameron overpowered Robin almost easily, pinning his two thin wrists above his head with one hand, and tickling him with his free hand.
“Stop!” he laughed, his eyes watering, “Let go!”
Cameron finally relented, letting go of Robin and laying next to him, holding himself up with his elbows. “Fine, but just this once.”
Robin sighed and wiped his eyes, then smiled and threw one leg over Cameron and sat on top of him, “My turn.” He muttered, poking around his torso to find a spot.
Cameron stared down at his stomach in silent satisfaction. “I’m not tickli--!” He suddenly squirmed and instinctively curled his legs up as Robin hit a spot just above his hip bone.
“Found it!” he sang evilly, tickling him on both sides.
The older of the two reached up and put his hands around Robin’s wrists, holding them in the air and sitting up some. “Not cool.” He laughed out.
“Yes it is.” He retorted cutely, “Now let me go.”
Cameron shook his head, sitting up fully and then leaning forward even more so they hit the bed in the opposite direction, with Cameron on top this time. “I win.”
Robin pouted, “Now that’s not fair.” He said, “You’re bigger than me.”
“So? Since when does that mean anything?” He retorted, cocking a brow.
“Since...always.” said Robin, sitting up and leaning on his hands, “Now, are we going to waste the next eight hours...or not?”
“That depends,” he answered with a sly smile. “What do you consider wasting?” asked the older of the two boys.
“Anything but this...” he muttered, kissing him lightly with a smile.
Cameron laughed to himself, grinning. “That works,” he said through the soft kiss, hands going to the others hips.
Robin wrapped his arms around Cameron’s neck and pulled him down onto the bed.
Cameron used his elbows to support himself so he didn’t squash Robin.
Robin ran his fingers up Cameron’s neck and into his auburn hair. After a moment, he wrapped his legs loosely around Cameron’s.
Cameron shivered at the feel of his soft fingertips against the sensitive skin on his neck. He lowered his head and nuzzled Robin’s neck softly. Something suddenly occurred to him, and he slowly slowed his nuzzling, “Robin, how old are you?”
“Hmm?...Sixteen.” he mumbled, hating the sudden break. The thought hadn’t even occurred to him. He didn’t know a thing about this boy and here they were in his bed. He didn’t know his age, his background...not even his last name. But, right now, he didn’t even care.
“Oh, okay, good.” Cameron hardly hesitated in returning his attention to the other boy’s neck, kissing the side of it softly.
“...and you?” asked Robin, looking slightly down at him.
“Going on eighteen,” he answered, looking up and getting straight eye to eye.
“Okay...” sighed Robin, resting his hands on the back of Cameron’s neck.
Cameron smiled at the other, pecking his cheek once, gently. "Is that okay with you?"
"Yes." Robin answered simply, sliding his hands from Cameron's neck onto his face. Though he was enjoying this, really enjoying this, Cameron's question made him realize just how little the two knew about each other. At this point, all they knew was each other's name and age, "There are a lot more questions I could think of, though." he added.
Cameron nodded, understanding what he meant. "Well, ask away. I'm pretty open." He poked the tip of Robin's nose once, grinning a small, but visible, grin.
"Okay..." said Robin, looking at him, "First of all...do you actually live here...or are you vacationing?" he asked.
"I live here. It's about a fifteen minute walk down the beach to get to my house, actually." He answered, pointing out the window in his room to the right.
Robin smiled, "Good, me too." he said, "Next...orientation?" It may have seemed like a stupid question, but you never know.
"Completely, utterly, undeniably gay." He answered once more with a small laugh. He reached up and ran his fingers through his auburn hair, pushing it out of his face.
"Okay..." said Robin. As for himself, he wasn't quite sure. He'd never been with a girl before...and he was enjoying this quite a bit.
"What about you? Gay, bi, straight and bored?" He asked with a laugh, poking the other in the ribs playfully.
"Honestly, I don't know...but..." he leaned up and kissed him on the cheek, "...I'm definitely not bored."
"If you don't know," retorted Cameron as he tried to hide a smile, "then I think you're just confused. That's okay though, I'm not bored either."
"I'm leaning towards option one, though..." he said softly.
Cameron could be such a jerk sometimes. "And what would that be?" He urged, cocking a brow curiously.
"Gay." he said, looking up at him.
"That's fine with me," he winked at Robin, flashing a charismatic smile at him.
Robin smiled, "Me too..." But that'll be big news for mom...he thought, a hint of worry running through his mind.
Cameron, oblivious to what the other was thinking, began stroking his black hair slowly, looking down at him.
"H-Have you told your parents?" he asked softly, knowing it would spoil the mood...but he wanted to know.
"No. My mom would be all disappointed and my dad would probably murder me. He's one of those really strict military dads." Cameron knew he didn't have to ask Robin, because Robin had just told him he wasn't sure, so of course he hadn't told his parents.
"Oh..." he sighed, feeling a bit more worried.
"Hey," he whispered, concerned. The older of the boys gently lifted Robin's chin with his pointer finger, "What's wrong?"
"I don't know how my mom'll react..." he answered worriedly.
"Well, do you know her to be like, homophobic, or does she overreact a lot?" He asked, his finger still under his chin.
'No...she's usually pretty laid back." he replied.
"Then you should tell her. If she gets mad or something, at least you know she won't blow up or anything." He paused, mulling over his thoughts for a few moments, "It'll be worse if you don't tell her, trust me." He was terrified to tell his parents; maybe he should have taken his own advice?
"Just not yet..." he sighed, closing his eyes and tilting his head back for a moment.
"Not yet, no. You need to figure it all out for yourself first." Cameron titled his head to the side, he felt so bad for Robin. "Hey, why don't you smile more often? You never answered me earlier."
He looked at him, "I didn't have anyone like you to make me smile." he replied.
He had to admit, that was fucking cute, "You need a reason to frown, you don't need a reason to smile."
"Then you take my mind off of the reasons I have to frown..." he said, correcting himself.
"But what are the reasons you have to frown?" Cameron inquired. My oh my, he was one persistent son of a bitch.
"I don't want to think about that right now." he said, looking up at him cutely.
"Fine, I'm gonna want to know eventually." He gave up, for that moment, at least. He'd find out one day.
"I promise I'll tell you...just not now..." he said.
"As long as you promise." He leaned his head over and kissed his lips sweetly. "Now, buck up and smile."
He grinned and kissed him back, "Now where were we?"
His answer was said in a slow, breathy whisper, "Right...about...here," He lowered his head again, shutting his eyes and locking lips with Robin.
He shut his eyes and returned the kiss, wrapping his arms around Cameron's waist.
Cameron's hands worked their way up the others body, stopping at Robin's neck as his fingers pushed their way through his hair.
Robin shivered lightly as Cameron slid his hands into his hair, God I love that...he thought.
He felt the slight shiver under him and smirked, gently massaging his fingers through the thick mass of black hair and intensifying his kiss ever so slightly.
Robin's back arched and he slid his hands up Cameron's back.
Cameron almost cringed at the feeling on his back. Damn. That's so hot. He gently sucked on Robin's lower lip for a second or two.
Robin lightly grabbed onto Cameron's button-up shirt, pulling on it a bit.
Cameron broke the kiss momentarily, smiling. "Can I help you?" He asked slyly.
Robin smirked up at him, "Take it off." he answered bluntly.
Cameron was taken aback by the sudden assertiveness of him, but did as he was told and slid it back, off of his shoulders.
Robin pulled it off quickly and tossed it on the floor.
"You're turn," muttered Cameron, his hands finding their way under the hem of his tank top and pushing it up somewhat.
Robin sat up somewhat in order to get his shirt off, "I know."
He pulled the tank top off over his head, tossing it away and laying back down on top of the boy and kissing his neck hungrily.
Robin tilted his head back, allowing Cameron full access to his neck.
Cameron maneuvered his head around the soft skin on Robin's neck easily, being careful not to leave a mark.
Robin smirked, "Lower....you can leave one there..." he stated deviously.
Cameron - although you couldn't see it - had a devilish smile on his features. He lowered himself, right below Robin's collar bone, and very slightly, sucked a little harder.
Robin bit his lip with a smile.
Sucking freely, Cameron's hands began to roam over the other boy’s smooth chest, caressing it gently.
Robin bit back a moan as Cameron's hands roamed his bare chest. This was amazing.
"Hm, enjoying yourself?" Cameron whispered quietly, gently running his tongue right up the middle of Robin's neck.
Robin inhaled sharply, but smiled, "Very much." he replied, looking down at him.
"Hah, I told you I wasn't a 'one time' sorta guy." He said hoarsely back, grinning at the other's sharp breath.
"Good." replied Robin, placing his hands lightly on Cameron's face.
Almost like a cat, Cameron nuzzled his cheek into the others touch. He loved when people touched him; it didn't even have to be in a sexual way. He just loved the feeling of contact.
Robin smiled softly and leaned towards Cameron, kissing him sweetly on the crown of his head.
Cameron smiled at the soft contact, looking upwards with only his eyes at the other. This was rather interesting, he would have thought.
Robin looked back at Cameron, running his fingers through his thick hair.
Shutting his eyes, Cameron subconsciously pushed closer to the feel of Robin's hands in his hair. He drew in a deep, but quiet, breath of content.
Robin smiled at Cameron's reaction. It was...cute to him. He laid back down, feeling a strain in his back, but continued to play with Cameron's hair.
Cameron lay there contently, breathing deeply.
Robin readjusted himself slightly, I shouldn't have sat up like that for so long...he thought.
Feeling him move under him, Cameron looked up at the other. "Hey, you alright?"
"I'm fine." he answered, "...I think my back's just worn out." he laughed.
He laughed a little bit, pulling himself up some. "Here, turn over and lay on your stomach."
"O...kay." he sighed, rolling over as he was told.
Cameron swung his leg over the younger boy's body, so he was basically sitting on him. He then grasped his shoulders and gently began massaging them, slowly working his way down Robin's back.
Robin smiled as Cameron sat on his lower back. The minute he started massaging his shoulders, Robin completely relaxed with a sigh.
Smiling at his instant success, Cameron focused on a knot in Robin's lower back; no doubt from sitting half up and half lying down.
"You're amazing...." stated Robin calmly.
"Meh, tell me something I don't know," replied the beach-goer coolly.
Robin laughed, "You're modesty is astounding." he giggled sarcastically.
"Isn't it though?" He answered, rhetorically, of course.
Robin just shook his head and rested it on his folded arms.
It felt like it took – forever - for him to get that knot out, but finally, it was gone. "Better?"
"Mhm..." muttered Robin, rolling back over lazily, "Thank you."
"That took some skill; rolling over while I was still on top of you." He laughed a bit, looking down at the other with a grin.
"Giving someone a massage with all those scratches on your hands couldn't have been easy either." he pointed out, having just remembered about earlier that day.
"It was fine. I used my fingers, not my palms." He reassured him, still smiling.
"Good." he said, looking up at him, "Now would you kindly get off of my legs?" he asked with a laugh.
"Only because you asked so nicely." He climbed off Robin, lying down next to him.
Robin smiled and turned on his side to face Cameron.
"Hm?" He asked, reaching forward and lightly brushing Robin's hair out of his face.
"Nothing." said Robin contently. He moved closer and rested his head just below Cameron's chin.
Cameron nodded slightly, just enough to let the other know he was paying attention. He wrapped his arms all the way around Robin's small frame, holding him close.
"We can't fall asleep like this, you know..." Robin sighed. He hated it, but if they did, his mother would see. He did not want her to find out that way.
"I know. I'm not that tired anyways. By the way, what time is it?" He asked, his back to the clock.
Robin grumbled as he pushed himself up a bit, so he could see over Cameron, "...6:45." he mumbled, sinking back into his original position.
"Oh, okay. So we still have a few hours then." He laughed quietly, reaching his arms up and stretching.
"I already hate having to watch the clock." stated Robin. We're not doing anything other couples don--...Couple...
Cameron brushed his cheek with that back of his hand, "It's alright, we'll be fine." he reassured him, nodding.
Robin looked over at him and smiled softly, "Right..." he said.
Cameron turned his head slightly at the faint sound of rain hitting Robin's windowsill. He used the tip of his finger to move the curtain aside and saw that it was raining, rather hard actually, outside.
"Wow...It's been a while since it's rained." said Robin, looking the window as well.
"Yeah it has." He said absent mindedly. He had always loved the rain. It was somewhat, entrancing, for lack of a better word.
Robin sighed as he looked out the window - he remembered often sitting on the back porch and watching storms with his mother. What if she didn't want to do that anymore once he told her...?
"What's wrong?" He whispered, hearing Robin's discontented sigh.
"What if things change between my mom and me...?" he asked, still looking out the window.
"What if they don't?" He returned, holding Robin close.
"There's a better chance that they will..." sighed Robin, lying back down.
"You shouldn't think that way." He responded, giving Robin's body a gentle, caring squeeze.
"I can't help it." replied Robin. That's just how his mind worked.
"I understand. You still shouldn't be so scared. Your mom seems like she'd be at least okay with it."
"But I still don't know her views on the issue...we've never talked about it."
"Well, try to figure them out. Talk about some of your gay friends or something and see what she does."
Robin stayed quiet, She knows I don't have any friends...he thought.
Knowing he had lost, Cameron inwardly shook his head and just held Robin close. He wasn't sure what he could do, if anything, to make him feel better.
Robin slid his arms around Cameron, He must've been going through the same thing...
"You think you'll be okay?" He paused, shifting nervously. "If, ya`know, if you want, I can like, be here when you choose to tell your mom."
Robin tightening his grip on Cameron, "I'll be fine." he assured him, "And...I'll be there for you too. Whether you want me there or not."
"If you're going to be there when I tell, I'm going to be there when you do it. `Nuff said." He snuggled into the feel of Robin's grip, tightening his also.
Robin smiled, "Okay." he said contently.
"Good." Cameron looked at the ceiling, concealed in his own thoughts for a time.
Robin laid comfortably next to Cameron. It had been far too long since he had been this...happy.
Cameron smiled as Robin got comfortable. This was great.

Robin lightly grabbed onto Cameron's button-up shirt, pulling on it a bit.
Cameron broke the kiss momentarily, smiling. "Can I help you?" He asked slyly.
Robin smirked up at him, "Take it off." he answered bluntly.
